UST 404 Classic Flutter Fork Road Ski
Road skis with aluminum shaft and new Flutter Fork V-wheel technology
The UST Flutter Fork 404 Classic Road ski provides the most snow-like feeling skis on the market. The shaft is made of flex-aluminum that damps road vibrations like a real snow XC ski. The UST technology dampens forces in the fork to provide extremely smooth rolling. Since both flutter fork units are independent, each ski offers side torsion movement flex pathways much like how a ski performs in snow when turning or edging off.
All UST Road Skis come equipped with bindings and #2 (medium/standard speed) wheels.

Why are the classic V-wheels special?
By help of the classic split wheel, the UST Classic Road ski becomes more stable and rolls straighter than traditional flat wheel brands. It also dominates turning and eliminates wheel drift during hotter road ski sessions.
UST Classic Road ski classic wheel middle colored ring provides you with the best stability during double poling and when diagonal striding. Because of the softer rubber ring, it also provides you with a better feeling on the road, especially in the moment of first contact with surface. For safety reasons, the softer center material allows pesky pebbles to pass under or to the side of the wheel instead of causing further unnecessary road vibration and sometimes complete wheel stopping from occurring.
The classic wheel features a skate-like profile that can curve and handle edging well, which in turn makes cornering easier, especially in wet conditions by drastically reducing aquaplaning.
These wheels also have a larger diameter aluminum rim and more durable rubber, which makes the wheel perform superior to wheels with lots of excess rubber and small rims that ‘drift.’

UST offers 3 different wheel speed options:
#1 wheels fast speed (index 1) for less resistance, like on icy tracks in winter.
#2 wheels medium/standard speed (index 2) (most popular) middle resistance, like standard snow.
#3 wheels slow speed (index 3) for power-strength endurance training, like wet or deep snow.

History of the UST Classic V-wheel:
All UST Classic Road Skis have V-wheels. This unique feature has been thoroughly developed tested and proven since 2015 among several European National Ski teams and professional marathon teams. Besides the important tracking lines on the edges, the V-wheel provides two points of contact on the front and two points of contact on the back. To sum it up, four points of contact while rolling on roads and bike paths provide the upmost superior stability among any road skis and wheels ever produced in the world.
