The United Ski Technology (UST) Silver model is a unique pole prototyped, tested, and proven to be the best overall pole for road and snow in the world for the average skier. Tests were originally completed by the lab in Trondheim, Norway. This rare blend of unique carbon multi-grade fibers can only be made by the UST technology and machines.
This pole provides the best ratio of felt stiffness to performance deflection specifically used on harder surfaces such as roads and bike paths. While other brands promote the stiffest pole is the best, UST holds an opposing rebuttal based on how human body joints respond to thousands of major and minor impacts through pole movements and absorption recovery rates.
