Description
The carbon fiber tubes we produce are all composed of multi-directional layers. Although we use unidirectional pre-preg, our technology allows us to fit-form our production method to easily use unidirectional carbon in different directions, which produce a wide variety of different diameters and lengths.
Our resin system cures at between 240-255*F. We custom design different lay-up schedules depending on each customers application to achieve maximum strength while maintaining minimal weight.
All carbon tubing is made, shaped, and cured in our Cheboygan, Michigan factory. Our standard formula creates a wall thickness of 1mm +/- .01. We keep inventory of all diameter sizes made of 100% carbon fiber. We do have some diameter inventory of carbon fiber / fiberglass blend.
We do a lot of custom carbon tubing production runs within our main production timelines. If you are seeking a carbon fiber or fiberglass tubing solution we invite you to write us about the uses of your project to best assist you with your needs. Unlike other companies, we do not require minimum quantities or lengths on custom build projects.
Tubing comes with either a standard gloss or sanded matte finish. Please note the diameter is ID, (inner diameter dimension) not OD. To calculate OD, take the wall thickness X2 plus ID.
